How to Replace Black and Colour HP 652 Ink Cartridges
Although many printers use the same ink sold at affordable prices, the process of reloading empty slots differs from machine to machine. Nevertheless, it is not a complicated process and can be done by anyone if the right steps are followed. Below are short guides on replacing empty cartridges on each device compatible with the HP 652 ink:
- HP DeskJet Ink Advantage Series
1115 – First make sure the printer has a stack of regular A4 pages loaded and that the device is switched on. Then you want to open the access panel to the cartridges, which can be done by simply pulling it down. Once the printer becomes quiet and all movement stops, you can continue by pushing the ink cartridge gently from above and then taking it out towards you one at a time. When handling the new cartridge, hold it by the black plastic and avoid touching the nozzles and contacts. The nozzles should face the machine and the colour unit should be inserted on the left side and black on the right. Push the unit in slowly until you feel it click into the slot properly and shut the access panel again to finish.
2135 – The same steps can be followed to replace HP 652 cartridges in these as the 1115 printers. However, you will see flashing lights on the control panel for which units need to be replaced. The black slot is indicated by a black dot above the light and the colour by three dots in yellow, magenta, and cyan.
3635 – Again, load the printer with paper first. Next, you want to pull down the exterior panel and then the cartridge access door. Continue with the same steps as the first two devices to extract and insert new 652 ink units before closing both panels that you have opened.
4535 and 4675 – If your device is switched on and loaded with paper, grab both handles and lift the access panel. Wait until the panel clicks in place and the tray stops moving completely before continuing. To extract the cartridges, pull the lid open and press it backwards before lifting the cartridge up and out. Treat the new cartridges with care and gently close the lid on the unit once inserted. Your last step is to close the access panel and then it is ready to print the alignment page.
- HP OfficeJet Series
3835 – Start by turning your printer on and inserting paper before closing and pushing back the output tray extender. Open both the outside and inside panel and then wait for the carriage to come to a standstill. Push the cartridge from the top and pull it out of the socket. Continue by opening the HP 652 cartridges and handle them with the same caution as stated before. Place the new units in their spots, right for black and left for colour, until they click into place. After replacing all necessary cartridges and closing the access doors, put the output tray back up.
