Riso Ink and Masters

ORIGINAL RISO INK CARTRIDGES AND MASTER ROLLS

RISO started life in 1954 in Tokyo by Noboru Hayama, and has gone on to be a world leader in printing. Starting with the Risograph (now called a digital duplicator) Riso has offered businesses, schools, and others with fast, inexpensive duplicators and colour printers.

RISO bucks the trend of using toner and drums, instead using ink and master rolls to print at speeds faster than 3 pages a second - making RISO unique. Toner needs a lot of heat to print, especially if it's fast, so RISO machines produce nearly no heat so it's less disruptive and requires less energy to operate.

RISO means "ideal" in Japanese, and are still a market leader in digital duplicators after launching the first one in 1986.
